Declining of bee populations
Bymy environmental issue is the declining of the bee population. The bee population declining affects almost all ecosystems such as gardens, orchards, woodlands and meadows. It would be affecting the First Nations and Métis because without bees then their farms would not grow as well because the bees won’t be able to pollinate them. This issue conflicts with the indigenous views of sustainability because without bees there will be unbalanced in the ecosystems between the plants and animals. The reason bees are dying is because the pesticides in crops and air pollution is poisoning the bees. The people who are effected by this ecological issue are the farmers and people who grow plants for a living. Yes there are statistics that show that the bee population is declining, these statistics show that from 1947 to 2018 the bee population in the US has gone down by 60%. The short term effects of the bee population decreasing is that some farmers will have to pollinate their fields by hand, The long term effects of this issue is a global food decrease.
