Technology in the ocean; Coral bleaching

to editor,

I do not think other methods should be used to support initiatives such as regeneration of coral reefs through biorock besides solar pannels.

Biorock is a cement-like engineering material formed when a small electric current is passed between underwater metal electrodes placed in seawater causing dissolved minerals to accrete onto the cathode to form a thick layer of limestone. professionals make biorocks to help parts of the ocean get there corals back that have been destroyed in the past. it is a great way of technology to help the ocean and all of the animals living in it, also to add on it is safe for humans to go in the water while a biorock is in place, “These currents are safe to humans and all marine organisms,” explains the Gill eco trust.” But then again if people do not insert the biorock properly things could go wrong so its important to make sure biorocks are in hands of professionals.

How about solar panels?

I think solar panels would be a great way to help the coral in the ocean mainly because it doesn’t need to be in the water to help, they are placed on boats above the water. the reason for solar panels is so they can help up the waters temperature. Corals need a certain type of temperature so they can survive in the ocean. Wind speed and surface temperature must be considered together because low wind speeds allow greater amounts of solar energy to penetrate the smoother water surface, thus raising the temperature. But you want to make sure that the temperature isn’t too hot because that could also affect them.

I think overtime scientist could somehow improve there technology even more so they could get a quicker result in the long run. But that is why i think biorock and solar panels are good for the ocean and safe.
