Decline of the Bee Population

By

The population of bees is rapidly declining and this is a huge problem for Earth. Bees are the top pollinator in the world and nature relies on them in order to grow and thrive. Bees have been dying due to several reasons. Mainly, pesticides, habitat loss, parasites and predators, and dieses. Bees are also important to the economy and human life. In north America 30% of the food humans eat comes from bee pollinated plant life.

There are many ways humans can help combat the decline of the bee population as we are the main cause of this problem. First, we need to stop using harmful insecticides and switch to more eco friendly ways of pest control for crops like using Neem oil. Second, is we need to protect the habitat of bees and slow down on deforestation and urbanization. Finally you can become a bee keeper yourself. There are many benefits to this like getting your own honey, and beeswax, and if you own a garden they can pollinate it for you.
