Limiting factors on the bee population
ByLimiting Factors
Limiting factors occur when something decreases or tampers with the population of an ecosystem. There are many different-limiting facts on the bee population. Together we need to have a stop to these limiting factors, to save the population of bees. Some ecosystems have more limiting factors then others, but here are the main ones limiting factors.
The weather: is putting stress on colonies from the extreme cold and unfavourable flight weather during the spring or summer. Which is affecting the bee population. All over the world some areas have had temperature spikes well beyond the historical range, which is making climate change even worse. The result of this is increasing the risk of extinction for bees, which is already being threatened.

Habitat Loss: Over the years there is constantly changes in our land use and in result of this bees are losing their habitats. Bee’s are a huge part of our food supply and without them we could die. Why are we not helping them survive? Even intensive farming, have caused significant losses and fragmentation of pollinator- friendly habitats. Everything listed is involved around the main idea habitat loss, and from all this , has bees losing their diverse food source they need for a healthy diet.

The Virus: Experts have studied and have found there is a special case of a virus for bees. The viruses appears to be a generic insect viruses that bees pick up when they are visiting flowers/plants. Diseases specific to honeybees don’t have a huge impact on their population, but is by a whole ton of viruses that infect pollinating insects. As the years go by experts are trying to find a solution. Researchers are about to release a paper on all the details on how the plant virus is affecting honey bees and will show how its also a big impact with collapsing colonies. Experts say this virus continues to surround us, affecting the bees and needs to be put to a stop.
Human Impact: Humans play a huge impact on the declining of the bee population. The few examples of the human activity on the bee population is the land development, the usage of pesticides and pollution. Each example has a different impact on bees, but are all harmful to them. Our usage of pesticides make it even harder for honeybees to reproduce, to expand their population. The land development changes all the time, for example building a house. From just building a house or a store, could maybe take out an habitat for bees. Overall humans have a big impact on the declining of bee population and instead of hurting bees we as a ecosystem need to help them.
