Description..

my issue that I have been looking at all quadmester is coral bleaching. Coral bleaching occurs when coral polyps expel algae that live inside their tissues which causes the coral to get stressed and bleach. its a pretty big deal because that’s where most of the fish live and when the coral gets bleached then they are in risk of losing their home. I have a solution to try to reduce the amount of coral being bleached around the world.

Goal

My solution/goal to reduce coral bleaching is to team up CRF (coral reef foundation) once again to help get different people to got maintain different corals around the world. A big thing that could help is there fundraisers they offer, that money could go towards all the supplies they need to help the corals and to send people out.

My teams

As a was saying before im teaming up with CRF. and Rosewood Bermuda living reefs foundation. On the CRF website they say, ‘We are actively restoring coral reefs on a massive scale, educating others on the importance of our oceans, and using science to further coral research and coral reef monitoring techniques.” Which i think is really important because they are taking this really seriously so they can be a big help. Also on the Rosewood Bermuda website they say, ‘The foundation is composed of scientists, water sports operators and environmentalists who have worked in the marine world for over 30 years.’ So its good that im working with experienced people.

Resources

The resources I would want to use is Biorock. I would use this so I can replenish different corals that aren’t too broken down

Short-term and long term goals

The short-term goal is for me to assemble the team first so we can get everyone ready

the long term is too restore as much reefs as possible around the world.
