Can Solar Sites Save The Bee Population

By

To the editor,

I do think solar farms should be created in locations around the world to save the bee population.

For centuries than main source of energy being used around the world was gritty black coal. All over facilities were just generated by coal and was a key factor on why bee habitats were being destroyed. For an example Logansport’s electricity used to be generated by coal, but in its newest facility will feature 80 acres of solar panels with far more attractive flowers. This will create lots of habitats for hundreds of bees and butterfly’s species whose numbers have been going down fast from habitat destruction.

Solar plants around the world like Logansport’s that are providing habitats are called pollinator-friendly solar projects. Its trending everywhere and it is helping the bee population. In Indiana, this year around three new pollinator-friendly solar projects have been launched.

Pesticides are being used everywhere and is killing off massive portions of the bee population. Bees are a big part of our food supply and is a widely tracked pollinator species. Each winter their population is dropping at a rate of 30 percent in the U.S and in Indiana. Thankfully the solar industry is booming.

Solar panels is expected to be the fastest growing job in the future. In just half a decade the whole world’s solar capacity will be doubled. We as a community need bees and by using solar power is really improving their population.

Many energy sources around the world are damaging animal habitats, and removing all types of plants from their own space’s. But with solar power it does not affect animals or plants. This energy source allows animals to live in their own habitat peacefully. Other benefits solar power brings to the table is it doesn’t release pollution into the atomsphere and also helps with our land usage.

Accidentally dangerous liquids and materials are being released into the atmosphere or local pieces of water. These dangerous liquids and materials can easily harm local ecosystems and potentially harm people in that community. Solar power does not release any dangerous materials into our atomphere. All the power that comes from solar power is from the sun, that won’t put people in danger. Overall solar power can help out your local environment and keep all livings things safe.

Most energy’s source’s like coal plants and hydro plants require a certain land space, but solar power can be installed anywhere. On roofs of your home or right in your backyard. Solar panels do not require a certain land space and can be easily installed anywhere you want it. Our environment can benefit from the less land used around the world

Do Solar Panels Increase or Decrease Home Value?

Solar energy helps our environment, but comes with economic benefits too. It can lower your bills, create jobs, and helps in emergencies. The way solar power helps over environment is just incredible.

The main benefit out of all of them is the way solar energy is lowering families bills. Your panels can help your electricity at your home, that will then reduce how much your pay over time for your electricity bills. Now if you don’t want to switch over to solar power, some companies have an option for you to sell your solar power access to provide greener energy for others in your community. This is another way to lower your monthly energy bills.

To find the right job for you is hard, and solar’s workforce provides lots of jobs for you. Solar jobs are increasing every single year as people everywhere are installing solar panels. Three years go, in 2018 the solar industry hired over 242,000 people. We are now in 2021 and the job opportunities will continue to grow each year.

People year in and year out are being affected by natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, fires, earthquakes, and more. Many or all of these disasters can lead into power outages. With the hand of solar energy, can let you be able to have power during theses emergencies. The sun throughout these situations will continue to produce energy when other sources are not able too.
